Telegram billionaire Pavel Durov to Leave Fortune to 100 Children

Share

Telegram billionaire Pavel Durov has declared his intention to leave his entire $13.9 billion fortune to the more than 100 children he claims to have fathered. In a recent interview with Le Point, the eccentric tech mogul outlined a legacy plan as unconventional as his lifestyle rooted in firm discipline and long-term thinking.

The Telegram billionaire Durov, age 40, revealed that while he is officially the father of six children with three different women, he has also been donating sperm for over 15 years. He estimates that more than 100 children have been born from these donations and all of them, he asserts, are his legal heirs.

“I make no distinction between the children conceived naturally and those born via sperm donation. They are all my children and will have the same rights,” he told Le Point.

This is a man who embraces legacy through the lens of modern biology, yet insists on responsibility. Durov insists his children won’t be able to access his fortune until 30 years have passed. It’s a curious mixture of libertarian futurism and strict paternalism — and one that seems to echo his broader worldview.

“I wrote my will very recently,” he said. “I decided that my children would not have access to my fortune until a period of thirty years has elapsed, starting from today.” In an age of entitled heirs and squandered empires, his stance stands in contrast — even admirable, to some conservative minds.

The Billionaire’s Unorthodox Discipline

Known as a disciplined, private individual, Durov starts each day with 300 push-ups and 300 squats. He avoids alcohol, caffeine, and even tea. It’s the routine of a monk wrapped in the mind of a capitalist a rare breed in today’s self-indulgent tech elite.

With over 1 billion active users, Telegram stands among the top global messaging platforms. But with great scale comes scrutiny. French authorities have charged Durov with complicity in crimes allegedly committed via Telegram accusations he flatly denies.

Legacy, Freedom, and the Future of Telegram

There is no doubt that Telegram billionaire Pavel Durov is both admired and controversial depending on who’s judging. But in a culture that too often champions rootless globalism and corporate hedonism, his plan to pass on wealth strictly to biological offspring, and to delay gratification for three decades, reflects a strikingly traditionalist ethos dressed in digital-age attire.
